Hooks
Hook Selection Questions For Every Grower
Q1 What length of twine is required per season? ‘Free-Fall’ refers to the extension of the first drop of twine down to the young plants, eg 12+3m = 15m twine in total with a 3m ‘free fall’.
Q2 What size metal hooks? 18 cm or 22 cm? The taller the greenhouse, growers like wider hooks so more twine drops with each twist.
Q3 What strength of twine? 1 kg:1,000m, 1:1,200 or 1:1,500? The strongest for the heaviest fruit, such as tomatoes.
Q4 What colour of twine? To differentiate the main stem from later ones
Q4 What type of twine? Polypropylene + Anti-UV additive or Biodegradable
Combining innovative designs and features that help you save time, Paskal hooks offers you an easy and controlled way to lower your plants, while improving productivity and reducing labor costs.

RollerHook
Composed of a reusable multi-seasonal metal frame and a strong disposable spool, the RollerHook is the perfect solution for an easy and efficient trellising of greenhouse tomato and cucumber plants.
By comparison, metal hooks must be lifted, unwound, moved, and placed back on the crop wire, causing more shaking and stress on the plants.
With roller hooks, lowering is done by simply sliding the metal piece along the crop wire, creating less movement and less stress.
- Cost effective
- Quick lowering, 1200-1500 an hour
- Preventing plant “stress”
- Slow release
- Twine length 36 meters allows three years of use
- Twine length 48 meters allows two years of use (in cucumbers)
- Multi-seasonal use
- Three-year guarantee
